Computer Audit Technician Overview: PlanITROI seeks highly motivated Computer Audit Technicians to join our Production Department. The Computer Audit Technician will wipe, test, image, and configure computer equipment to the required specifications. Audit technicians will utilize third-party software to diagnose defective units and order the needed parts, if economical to repair. This will include, but not be limited to; Laptops, Notebooks, Desktops, Tablets & Cell Phones, and Apple and Microsoft products. This is an ONSITE position in Denville, New Jersey.

Second Shift 5 pm - 9 PM

Monday -Friday

Mission: Wipe, test, image, and reconfigure IT equipment to specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Wipe, test, image, and reconfigure IT equipment to specifications.

  • Diagnose defective IT Equipment utilizing testing software

  • Configure, upgrade and test computer hardware & peripherals.

  • Work with the Production Team to drive and complete projects.

  • Record configuration, audits performed, and cosmetic information utilizing the production database.

  • Assist in setting standards and policies to improve efficiency and reduce cost.

  • Ensure inventory within the department is moved to the correct locations both physically and in the system.

  • Help organize and maintain the technical facility.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

    Requirements & Experience:

  • Degree, Certificate, or training in computer audit/QC preferred.

  • A+ certification is preferred.

  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software is needed.

  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities are needed.

  • BIOS configuration and upgrade utilities are needed.

  • The ability to configure, maintain, and upgrade PC workstations.

  • The ability to identify and install PC hardware and peripherals.

  • The ability to answer computer and software-related questions in technical and non-technical terms.

  • The ability to understand and carry out instructions explained in various forms (written, oral, or diagram)

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Outstanding attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
