This position will report to theMaintenance Supervisor. Your core responsibility will be ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility by performing timely and effective repairs, as well as preventative maintenance on our manufacturing and facility-related equipment.

Highlights of the role:

• Undertake preventative maintenance tasks on manufacturing machinery such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveying systems, and industrial woodworking machinery, using diagrams, sketches, operations and maintenance manuals, manufacturer's instructions, engineering specifications, and troubleshooting malfunctions.

• Prioritize the needs of our operations group, swiftly responding to unplanned downtime to ensure a quick resumption of normal production.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment issues through close observation and measurement during operation.

• Disassemble machinery to remove defective parts, using hand and power tools.

• Utilize measurement devices, hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straight edges to identify any changes in dimensional constraints.

• Minimize impact of scheduled preventative maintenance on day-to-day activities by coordinating closely with production operators.

• Communicate mechanical issues clearly, thoroughly, and in detail, both verbally and in written format.

• Document and report on work activities, irregularities, and ongoing needs.

• Contribute to capital projects, including equipment installation and relocation.

• Strive for continuous improvement by identifying and suggesting enhancements to equipment, facilities, and processes.

Requirements

You’re a good fit if you have:

• Must demonstrate ownership of assigned production equipment and maintain reliable operation with minimal supervision.

• Prior industrial maintenance experience is preferred. However, candidates with specific training in applicable skills will be considered in lieu of experience.

• Must possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.

• Valid driver's license required.

• 12 hour days 530am to 530pm Sunday - Wednesday

Additional consideration will be given to candidates possessing knowledge or certification in pneumatics, industrial electrician certification, or PLC troubleshooting/programming
