The Sheet Metal Finisher is primarily working to sand, debur grind fabricated metal parts to improve the finish sand edges for either painting or to customer specifications. It may also include cutting, bending, preparing sheet tube or extruded metals into customer requirements. Operate typical shop equipment like orbital sander, drills, grinders, etc., for metal fabrication and assembly. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ability to read and fabricate from shop drawings. 
• Use hand tools like orbital sander, drills, grinders, etc. 
• Setup and run CNC press brakes, spot welders, pemserters, and surface sanders
• Perform secondary operations including rounding,  tapping, countersinking, deburring.
• Knowledge of tools such as tape measure, dial calibrator, square, micrometer, protractor and be able to use them helpful.   

Qualifications and Skills. (We will train but some skills preferred)

• Mechanical or metal background a plus.
• Understanding of sheet metal craftsmanship
• Ability to read and fabricate metal shapes from drawings.
• Working knowledge of drawings, hand tools, power tools.
• Welding Experience is a plus... not required.
• Ability to measure and perform basic mathematical calculations including fractions to decimals. 
• Know the difference between different material and gauges or thickness.

Working Conditions:

Fast paced, great variety of work with constant deadlines. Industrial environment with occasional dust, noise, etc., with protective equipment needed occasionally.  Job may require lifting up to 50 Lbs.   Must have reliable transportation.  Be willing and able to work overtime up to 15%.  Able to work in an environment not air conditioned in summers.
