Umbrella Functional Consulting & Support Team, LLC Master-Level Behavior Specialist/BCBA/LBS in Croydon, Pennsylvania

This employer will be on-site conducting interviews at our Multi-Industry Job Fair which will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the PA CareerLink Bucks County, 4800 E. You are applying for a role as an In-Home & Community Support Professional for Adults with Disabilities, this means you will be working one on one with your participants in their homes and community. The role of a BCBA/Master-Level Behavior Specialist is complex and requires a specific set of skills and values. The following represents what to expect in one's practice as a BCBA/Master-Level Behavior Specialist:

BCBA/Master-Level Behavior Specialist assist people who need support to lead self-directed lives and participate fully in their communities. Direct support professionals recognize the unique gifts, preferences and needs of each person supported.

BCBA/Master-Level Behavior Specialist recognize the personhood of people they support. They partner with them in making informed decisions and everyday choices about their well-being, behavior, and increasing skills towards independence.

BCBA/Master-Level Behavior Specialist will use knowledge, skills (competencies), and values of Applied Behavior Analysis to guide their work and provide quality services. BCBA/Master-Level Behavior Specialist continue to learn and develop their professional abilities through ongoing in-service and self-directed education and training.

BCBA/Master-Level Behavior Specialist understand that quality services occur at the point of interaction with the people that they support.

BCBA/Master-Level Behavior Specialist realize that their role includes being a mentor and a facilitator. BCBA/Master-Level Behavior Specialist inform the people they support regarding their responsibilities and advocate with them for their valued role in society.

BCBA/Master-Level Behavior Specialist create programs which empower people they supervise to encourage, as well as people they support to have meaningful relationships with friends, their families, and promote integration and inclusion in all our nation's communities.

BCBA/Master-Level Behavior Specialist respect the privacy in accordance with ethical standards of practice, of the people they support and commit to promote their physical and emotional well-being.

BCBA/Master-Level Behavior Specialist follow the practical guidelines of direct and consultative supports to build meaningful functional-based support programs, assess needs of individuals, collect and evaluate data, keep records, demonstrate progress in visual format, analyze data and make decisions to inform programmatic approaches, train others using a person-centered training and coaching method.

Positions available are located in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties. We are looking for FULL TIME, PART TIME team members to fill positions. Newly hired team members will become certified Behavior Support Professionals through the Office of Developmental Programs, and attend training days on-site with participants we serve to get to know the family and the team member who serves them.
