Basic Function

Perform flow testing in a working collaborative role with the production area to assure production goals are achieved in a continuous improvement environment. This position will support the acrylic manufacturing operations

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Check flow on in process production, recommend adjustments when needed

• Record flow tests and analyze data

• Receive, label and safely store samples to be tested in an orderly manner

• Work with various gases to perform flow tests needed to run production

• Change gas tanks and manage gas tank supply

• Discuss and answer any questions regarding flow results

• Clean and maintain test equipment, including recalibration of equipment

• Issue/Return production reamers and maintain production reamer records to track life of tooling

· Keep accurate production, quality and maintenance records.

· Collaborate with engineering to perform flow tests to develop new scales

· Perform calibrations on assembly production test meters

· Support work cells and learn production methods

· Support company continual improvement initiatives.

· Follow all safety procedures.

· Regular attendance and the ability to get along with others in a team.

· Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Skills (We will train but most skills preferred)

• Flexible, reliable, self-starting team player with ability to work with little or no supervision.

• CNC background in metal fabrication preferred.

· Strong Mechanical and fabrication background desirable with lots of "common sense".

· Ability to read and fabricate metal shapes from drawings.

· Working knowledge of drawings, hand tools, power tools.

· Ability to measure and perform solid high school level mathematical calculations.

· Above average manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.

 

Education and Experience

· High school degree or equivalent is required.

· Experience in multiple phases of assembly and calibration preferred.

· Use of measuring tools (calipers, basic hand tools) to support processes.

· Attention to detail, organizational skills and math skills.

· Experience with manufacturing a variety of products preferred.

· PC experience and business system experience.
