Responsibilities Summary: Responsible for working with Department Heads to achieve stable, predictable processes that operate On Target with Minimum Variation. Develop and document systems for monitoring and controlling processes. Provide engineering support to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems. Work closely with Department Heads on process improvements and equipment reliability. Evaluate and improve key measurement equipment performance using statistical methods. Utilize Statistical Process Control Methods to graphically model the behavior of a process. Basic Duties and Responsibilities: include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned. This position is a full time (minimum 40 hours per week) on-site position. Work with Department Heads to: Develop Process Setups by identifying key process input settings that are clearly defined. Develop and document process control methods that provide operators the knowledge of what they are supposed to do, knowledge of what they are actually doing, and a method that can control the process to meet the desired specifications. Utilize Statistical Thinking and Methods to determine process capabilities, analyze on-going performance and validate process improvements. Additionally: Utilizes knowledge of technology, production methods and procedures, and capabilities of machines and equipment. Designs and develops manufacturing processes for process enhancements and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with continuous improvement and low product cost. Provides technical support to manufacturing personnel and adheres to equipment and product specifications. Ensures processes are safe, functional and validated to perform at their design capability to deliver high quality products. Sets up and conducts tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design proposals for improving equipment performance or other factors, or to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control. Improves work methods and procedures to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality. Performing quality assurance on existing manufacturing processes. Identifying areas that need process control optimization. Evaluating the efficiency of manufacturing technologies, instruments, equipment, and tools. Supports production as the technical lead for operating and maintaining plant equipment in assigned areas. Analyzes manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancement of quality, cost reduction, and throughput. Supports and improves the process for manufacturing by implementing practices that support reliability and maintainability. Driving process control innovation in collaboration with senior managers. Recommending suitable software solutions and automating manufacturing processes. Troubleshoots and works with Maintenance to resolve problems. Observes all Company, housekeeping, safety and plant policies and procedures. Has strong written, oral, communication and facilitation skills.
