1 Position: Senior Manager, Safety Location: Remote Brand: Corporate Segment: Operations Job Summary: The Safety Leader is responsible for understanding, implementing, and championing the company Safety and Environmental Programs, philosophies, and practices. The most qualified candidate will also provide leadership/direction in line with company values and promote a positive and progressive work environment. Principal Accountabilities: The Safety Leader provides leadership for the company's safety and interfaces with platform resources, and end-users in the execution of his/her duties and responsibilities. This position will provide leadership and oversight of a team of direct reports to accomplish the following essential functions: Developing company-wide safety guidelines and processes to improve overall company Safety Culture and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations; Evaluate staff training programs for compliance, completeness, and effectiveness. Recommend methods of constant improvement; Manage, mentor and coach partners on recognizing hazards; Drive initiatives to improve and maintain a safe and healthy housekeeping culture company-wide; Manage the investigation of all safety concerns and work-related injuries and report to proper personnel and agencies; Identify and mitigate risks to the company to reduce overall risk exposure; Understanding of State and Federal EPA regulations; Use business data and metrics to make effective decisions that improve safety and reduce liability; Oversee the update of the company's risk management policies and strategies to ensure they are aligned with applicable building safety codes and other regulatory agencies; Evaluate loss prevention and location security practices and make recommendations for improvement; Partner with other members of the operations team to ensure that safety policies are aligned with regulatory agencies and industry best practices; Drive continual improvement in processes and work environment; Stay updated on changes in regulations and best practices and communicate effectively to all members of business team; Provides general oversight of DOT Federal and State regulations and assist when necessary, the DOT manager with day-to-day operations; All other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and 7+ years related experience in Engineering and/or Environmental/Health/Safety; Ability to recognize safety and maintenance related hazards and implement appropriate corrective measures; Thorough understanding of and ability to enforce federal, state, local and corporate regulations, including the ability to adhere to OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations; Contract management principles, tools, and techniques; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
