Description: A Mechanical Design Engineering position at Belcan to help design components for different projects involving land vehicle transportation in Cincinnati Ohio. Design process would include but not limited to theoretical designs with hand calculations for proof of concepts, followed by the ability to model and see designs through reviews, iterations, and through fabrication. FEA experience may be utilized as needed by the customer. Specialization sought after but not required would be design experience with land vehicles and its components/systems, including but not limited to, hydraulic routing, weldments, adaptations for consumer parts/assemblies, and electrical wiring/harnessing. Design, modeling, detailing, and FEA may be required tasks depending on customer needs.

Job tasks may include but are not limited to:

• Theoretical designs for components on specific land vehicles.

• Hand calculations to prove theoretical designs.

• Modeling concepts for assembly testing and proof of concept.

• FEA for concept reviews with customer for CDR and PDR.

• Design iterations based on needs/customer requirements.

Requirements:

4-year Bachelor of science in Mechanical Engineering degree.

7+ years of experience.

Siemens NX Experience (2+ years)

Must be a US citizen.

Preferred:

Combination of hand calc and/or more sophisticated methods for concept proofing

FEA experience using ANSYS Classic

Seimens NX Experience

Experience with military ground vehicles, weldments, HVAC, hydraulic, tractors and its modifications, body/housing, and electrical components and its housing.

Experience with inspection/manufacturing drawings and ASME Y14.5 2009

Communication skills, verbal and written.

Compensation:

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary of $83,200 to $93,600 however Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
