Sinclair Broadcast Group Enterprise Auto Sales Manager in Chicago, Illinois

Drive Auto is looking for an experienced sales manager with deep expertise in the digital marketing and audience targeting needs of the Tier 3 automotive industry. Experience selling to local Tier 3 dealerships is needed, and experience with regional Tier 2 associations is beneficial. Existing contacts within the auto industry are highly desired. We are looking for closers with a proven record of developing business in the category. The winning candidate will both prospect for business on their own, as well as work leads generated by an internal prospecting/biz-dev department. This position is a remote role with no in-office expectation, but in-person meetings and occasional overnight travel will be required. This position needs to be based within the Chicago DMA and will report to Drive Auto’s Director of Sales.

Uncapped, ongoing commissions on closed and retained revenue.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Taking advantage of both company-generated leads and direct efforts, prospect and close new business both in and out of your local market

  • Generate profitable revenue growth via new business, account retention, and upsell efforts

  • Create custom packages and solutions for clients based on business needs, using existing company capabilities

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure sales and service excellence for all owned accounts

  • Track revenue-generating activities within the CRM (Salesforce) and regularly supply sales outlooks and revenue forecasts

  • Occasional overnight travel to meet clients and attend conferences and company meetings - less than 10%

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Automotive industry experience is required (experience working within a dealership is a plus)

  • Digital marketing experience (Paid Search, Social Media Marketing, OTT/CTV, etc.) is required (certifications are a plus)

  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is required (Salesforce experience a plus)

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Excel experience is required, Teams experience is preferred)

  • IHS Polk data experience (or similar) is a plus

  • Knowledge of automotive-related customer data platforms, marketing platforms, and equity mining platforms is preferred

Qualifications:

  • Required 5+ years of automotive industry experience, with a focus on local dealerships is preferred

  • Required 4+ years of experience in digital media/marketing

  • Previous outside sales experience within the automotive industry is required

The base salary compensation range for this role is $125,000 with commission potential. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
