[Job Description Job Title[:Human Resources Assistant* *[Summary: [Under the direction of the Director of Operations/HR and HR Generalist [administers Human Resource policies and procedures, including new hire orientation, employee benefit administration, employee personnel records and provides support for employee concerns.

  • Conduct new employee orientations, explain benefits and company policy and set up employee files.
  • Assist employees regarding health, dental and life insurance paperwork and questions.
  • Maintains bulletin boards with required Federal and State mandatory employment related information.
  • Provide support to Supervisors and Managers by posting internal and external posting of open employee positions.
  • Tracks incoming resumes and applications, routes to appropriate departments, sets up interviews and completes background verifications for prospective hires.
  • Listen to employee concerns or suggestions related to safety, morale or government compliance issues.
  • Maintains payroll files on all employees.
  • Updates personnel files including changes in pay, department, title or medical information.
  • Participates along with HR Generalist in employees counseling sessions to learn how to aid supervisors with employee issues and document these sessions.
  • Help to plan and coordinate company functions such as picnics and parties.
  • Other duties as requested by the Director of Operations/HR and HR Generalist.

[Ability to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Working knowledge of typical office computer applications including MSWord, Excel, and Outlook
