If you enjoy being physically active and helping others, this may be a good fit for you! The Material Handler I position will assist Materials Management in daily operations. Although two days will rarely be the same, common responsibilities and duties are as follows:
Deliver packages and surplus items to faculty, staff, departments, and students
Pick-up packages and surplus items
Process inbound and outgoing packages; sort, label, and load for delivery
Greet and assist visitors to Shipping & Receiving and Surplus
Prepare surplus items for auction; create auction listings
Ensure packages are labeled and delivered properly
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Customer-service oriented with a genuine care to help others
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and problem solve
Tow-motor experience preferred, but will train
Comfortable driving pick-up trucks and box trucks
Flexibility in work assignments and schedule
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly
Additional Information:
Salary: $13.50/hr
