As an Engineer in dry etch process development, you will be a part of revolutionary next generation DRAM research & development dry etch team. The position promises ample opportunities for innovation, collaboration and testing a new dimension with next generation DRAM . You will work directly with process integration and other process areas such as Wet etch, CVD, Diffusion, Metals, Lithography & CMP. You will work on state of the art and best in class dry etch chambers & own the process roadmap to meet program and yield goals.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Developing dry etch processes to meet the physical & electrical requirements of Micron’s products.

  • Optimizing dry etch processes to reduce cost, process variability, and improve process capability.

  • Collaborating with process integration and other process development teams to develop innovative new solutions.

  • Conducting root cause and failure mode analysis to understand the limitations of current hardware and driving vendors for solutions.

  • Performing fundamental research to drive innovative solutions for next-generation products.

  • Maintaining a technology development pilot manufacturing line.

  • Support process transfer to production facilities (some domestic and/or international travel may be required).

Qualifications & Skills:

  • An aptitude for a research and development environment.

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to resolve complex issues through root-cause or model-based problem solving.

  • Working knowledge in statistics, preferably in statistical process control.

  • Ability to work independently, with minimal direction, and a focus on meeting commitments.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously.

  • Academic or basic knowledge of one of the following: thermodynamics, transport phenomena, dry etch processing, kinetic theory, or basic plasma physics.

  • Data science basics / Python coding or programming or scripting is desirable.

  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office.

Education

  • MS / PhD.

  • BS + 3 years of relevant experience. Internships could be considered as a part of job experience too.
