Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic / Carpenter (Atlas)

Job Summary : EMCOR Government Services has a need for a Maintenance Mechanic / Carpenter in Bethesda, MD . This individual will be responsible for providing services that include performing maintenance and repair of equipment at a Site in Bethesda MD. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99. The successful candidate must have or be able to obtain an ISSA TS with SCI eligibility and Poly .

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance of site equipment and building structure.

  • Perform daily assignments as tasked.

  • Perform preventive maintenance of all equipment on site.

  • Report any deficiencies found in the course of performing the job.

  • Provide feedback on Preventive Maintenance to Trades Lead.

  • Perform tasks as directed by Trades Lead.

Qualifications:

  • General knowledge in Facility Operations and Maintenance.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an ISSA TS/SCI w/Poly

  • Five (5) or more years' experience in maintenance and repairs on Commercial-Industrial building equipment to include but not limited to:

Painting Framing / Finish work Floor coverings

Carpentry Cabinet Installation Repair Machinery

Plumbing Door Hardware Door installation

  • Demonstrate the ability to read and understand Blueprints, schematics and specifications.

  • Be able to demonstrate carpentry knowledge.

  • Be able to demonstrate wood working knowledge.

  • Be able to demonstrate framing and finishing knowledge.

  • Be able to demonstrate ability to repair machinery/mechanical equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Heavy physical effort (lift / carry up to 50 lbs / push up to 100 lbs)

  • Prolong, extensive, or considerable standing / walking.

  • Push / pull or move / lift equipment, supplies and parts.

  • Manual dexterity and mobility

  • Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
