This position is very hands on, in the weeds to start but will eventually grow their own accounting/finance team with additional mergers and acquisitions. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) to provide management with timely and accurate information.

  • Manage functional day-to-day accounting responsibilities, record journal entries and ensure proper classification and documentation of transactions, ensuring compliance with GAAP principles and company policies.

  • Report to the Board on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis on FP& A, treasury, and other considerations.

  • Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures.

  • Collaborate with management to support the annual budgeting process and provide input for financial forecasts.

  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timely resolution of audit findings.

  • Maintain effective internal controls and contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and procedures.

  • Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned by the management team.

  • Develop the finance function going forward, initially by instituting scalable policies and procedures but eventually contributing to the hiring of clerical and strategic staff to support the growth of the business

  • Integrate potential add-on acquisitions, professionalizing reporting and consolidating on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

Qualifications:

· 5+ years of experience working in the accounting/finance function in a manufacturing environment.

· BS/BA, in Accounting (CPA a plus)

· Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

· Take initiative and be detail oriented. Ability to manage deadlines.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Auditing processes

• Knowledge of Budget Processes

• Ability to prepare Monthly Financials

• Experience with Sage 100 and Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of the General Ledger

• Experience with Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Ability to conduct Balance Sheet Reviews

• Experience in preparing Balance Sheets

• Ability to perform Month End Close tasks

• Experience in Year End Closings

• Understanding of Audit procedures, especially Financial Auditing

• Experience in preparing Income Statements and Cash Flow Statements

• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles
