  GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION

  Installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment. Works to minimize manufacturing machine downtime using corrective and preventive maintenance. Performs general facility maintenance when required.

  PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing and facility related equipment.

• Completes preventive and corrective repairs.

• Ability to safely troubleshoot and perform complex electrical repairs.

• Documents completed repairs.

• Fabricates rebuilds, designs and installs machine parts.

• Follows safe working practices and procedures.

• Trains employees for skills required in learning the manufacturing equipment and processes.

• Implement ways to reduce costs, increase productivity, and eliminate waste.

• Identify, requisition, and track supplies required to complete assignments

• Identifies critical repair parts required to support manufacturing and related equipment.

• Performs responsibilities for the Environmental Management System.

  EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Prior experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.

• Minimum 2 years previous machine repair / rebuild experience.

• Mechanical installation and troubleshooting of oil lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Ability to design and upgrade equipment / process.

• Safe operation of shop equipment including but not limited to welding equipment, brake, shears, mills, drill press, lathes, metal saws, hones, surface grinders ect.

• Working knowledge of blueprints and electrical schematics.

• Knowledge and application of heat-treated materials for hardness and durability.

• Uses multiple techniques to rebuild equipment to OEM specifications.

• Operates / maintains hand tools, measuring, and diagnostic equipment.

• Required HS Diploma/GED OR Relevant experience.

• Previous Electrical experience/troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting a plus.
