Graphic Designer Location US-OH-Avon ID 2024-1397 Category Professionals Position Type S- Salary Overview SUMMARY OF POSITION: The graphic designer will create an array of graphic materials in a variety of mediums to bring design concepts to life. This position will focus heavily in creating exciting and informational package design, print ads, merchandising, sales/promotional materials, and web/mobile graphics. JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is preferred. 5+ years of work-related experience in graphic arts background. Creative digital portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and design skills. Very creative - strong sense of design Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Complete understanding and knowledge of printing processes and pre-press technique. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Creative problem-solving and analytical skills. Self-motivated. Ability to successfully manage projects and prioritize within a fast-paced environment. May require some travel (up to 10%) to trade shows, store checks, and customer presentations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work in front of a laptop or PC workstation for extended periods of time. Occasional standing, sitting, walking, loading, and lifting (up to 25lbs) supplies and equipment. Follow knife safety guidelines and be comfortable using sharp blades in completion of mock-ups. WORK ENVIRONMENT This is a fast-paced work environment with consistent pressure to complete duties as outlined above which requires ability to manage multiple projects at a detailed level and provide support to many internal departments in a fast-changing environment. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manages deadlines of the creative services department graphic projects involving package design, print ads, support material, merchandising graphics, web/digital graphics, mock-ups, etc. Maintains the quality and consistent use of color, balance, logo placement, photography, type, and font. Works with marketing department in developing packaging designs, marketing material, web/digital graphics, etc. Works with the merchandising department in developing point of purchase related material. Establishes job priorities with creative services manager. Able to take direction from members of marketing and upper management, giving advice and guidance in design and problem solving. Knowledge of a wide variety of printers and graphic design equipment. Prepare art for pre-production. Other duties as assigned.
