United States Steel CM Maintenance Inspector / Lube Tech, BRS in Arkansas

This position is an entry level industrial mechanic, responsible for the overall inspection and lubrication of all equipment in the Cold Rolling Mill.

**Digital assessment test is required to be completed within 14 days of submitting application.

  • Ensure Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements are followed

  • Ensure good housekeeping practices are carried out in job areas and grounds

  • Completion of scheduled maintenance PM inspections and lubrication work orders.

  • Develop Mechanical/Electrical maintenance documentation for the Finish Mill in a computerized maintenance management System (Guide-Ti).

  • Develop and input all Mechanical/ Electrical P.m.’s in Maintenance management system (Guide-Ti).

  • Develop Task specific Mechanical/Electrical work procedures in Guide-Ti.

  • Assist with weekly and monthly outage lockout activities, including audits of Energy Control Documents.

  • Assist with post outage line clean-up efforts and removal of all spare parts, tagging accordingly parts requiring refurbishment.

  • Ability to operate common manufacturing mobile equipment: Forklift, Mobile Forklift, and Aerial Man lift

Preferred Skills:

  • Reliable team player with good communication skills

  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and willing to put in extra hours when needed

  • Working knowledge of industrial equipment and systems

  • Experience in reading mechanical blueprints, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic schematics

  • Knowledgeable and efficient in the use of the proper rigging equipment, includes critical lifts, and LOTO systems

  • Basic computer skills required with experienced in industrial maintenance systems; Guide Ti Maintenance system experience is a plus

  • High School diploma
