Summary

The Snitkin Lab (https://thesnitkinlab.com/) in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology seeks applicants for a Bioinformatician-Computational Biologist. The Snitkin lab is comprised of an interdisciplinary group of scientists studying the evolution and transmission of antibiotic resistance ( https://thesnitkinlab.com/ ). To address these research questions, we develop and apply analysis workflows to large genomic and epidemiologic data sets generated with clinical and public health collaborators. In addition, we are increasingly taking projects back to the wet lab to test hypothesis generated through big data analysis. We are currently looking for a staff bioinformatician to assist in maintaining the lab's reproducible workflows, implement novel data analysis workflows and lead analysis projects. In addition, it is anticipated that this position will provide the opportunity to participate in large collaborative projects and assist in developing analytic plans.
